Nghiên cứu can thiệp cộng đồng có đối chứng nhằm đánh giá hiệu quả của sản phẩm dinh dưỡng lên tình trạng nhiễm khuẩn hô hấp trên và tiêu hóa trên trẻ 2-4 tuổi tại 4 xã thuộc huyện Chợ Mới, Bắc Kạn. Trẻ 2-4 tuổi khỏe mạnh được chia ngẫu nhiên thành 2 nhóm, nhóm can thiệp được uống 2 gói sản phẩm/ngày (34 gram/gói) trong 5 tháng, nhóm chứng thực hiện chế độ ăn bình thường và không sử dụng sản phẩm dinh dưỡng. Các trẻ trong nghiên cứu được đánh giá trước và sau can thiệp về tình trạng nhiễm khuẩn hô hấp, tiêu chảy và táo bón của trẻ. Sau 5 tháng can thiệp, số đợt mắc nhiễm khuẩn hô hấp trên trung bình là 2,5 lần mắc ở nhóm can thiệp trong khi nhóm chứng là 3,6 (p<0,01). Tính theo số ngày mắc nhiễm khuẩn hô hấp trên trong 5 tháng cho thấy nhóm can thiệp có số ngày mắc ít hơn so với nhóm chứng (p<0,05). Tỷ lệ mắc nhiễm khuẩn hô hấp trên theo số đợt > 3 lần/5 tháng ở nhóm chứng cao hơn so với nhóm can thiệp (p<0,05). Tỷ lệ trẻ mắc táo bón (ít nhất 1 lần/5 tháng) ở nhóm can thiệp thấp hơn nhóm chứng một cách có ý nghĩa thống kê, p<0,05. Sử dụng sản phẩm dinh dưỡng 2 gói/ngày trong 5 tháng có hiệu quả cải thiện tình trạng mắc nhiễm khuẩn hô hấp trên, tiêu hóa của trẻ 2-4 tuổi.

Controlled community intervention study to evaluate the effectiveness of nutritional products on upper respiratory infections and gastrointestinal in children 2-4 years of ages after 5 months of intervention in 4 communes in Cho Moi district, BacKan. Healthy 2-4 years old children were randomly divided into 2 groups, the intervention group was given 2 packages/ day (34 grams / pack) for 5 months, the control group followed the diet normal and don’t use nutritional products. The infants in the study were evaluated before and after the intervention for their respiratory infections, diarrhea and constipation. After 5 months of intervention, the average number of episodes of upper respiratory infection was 2.5 in the intervention group while the control group was 3.6 (p <0.01). Based on the number of days infected with upper respiratory tract infection in 5 months, the intervention group had less number of infected days than the control group (p <0.05). The rate of upper respiratory infections with number of episodes > 3 times/5 months in the control group was higher than the intervention group (p <0.05). The percentage of children with constipation (at least 1 time/5 months) in the intervention group was signifcantly lower than the control group, p <0.05. Using 2 packets/day for 5 months to effectively improve nutritional status and respiratory, digestive infections of children 2-4 years old.
