Rối loạn lipid máu làm tăng lắng đọng mảng xơ vữa và gây chít hẹp thành mạch, từ đó gây tăng huyết áp. Nghiên cứu tập trung xác định đặc điểm và mối liên quan giữa rối loạn lipid máu và bệnh tăng huyết áp ở người tuổi trung niên. Kết quả cho thấy rối loạn lipid máu thường gặp ở người tăng huyết áp (83,3%) và tỷ lệ mắc tăng theo tuổi.Rối loạn lipid máu là yếu tố nguy cơ của tăng huyết áp (β=0,359, p=0,014). Mối liên quan này mạnh hơn ở nữ so với nam giới. Tăng số thành phần rối loạn lipid máu gây tăng nguy cơ tăng huyết áp (β=0,174, p=0,0001). Trong các thành phần của rối loạn lipid máu (tăng cholesterol toàn phần, tăng LDL-C, tăng triglycerid và giảm HDL-C), giảm HDL-C có liên quan mạnh nhất (β=0,378, p=0,001), ảnh hưởng này đã được điều chỉnh theo tuổi, giới, nơi sống và chỉ số khối cơ thể. Đặc điểm này cần cân nhắc trong nghiên cứu thuần tập để xác nhận giảm HDL-C là yếu tố nguy cơ quan trọng nhất trong các rối loạn thành phần lipid máu trong sự phát triển của tăng huyết áp và mục tiêu can thiệp điều trị.

Dyslipidemia can lead to atherosclerosis and subsequent clogged arteries; and thereby it causes hypertension. The study focused on the patterns and relationship of dyslipidemia with hypertension in middle-aged people. The results showed that dyslipidemia is a common metabolic disorder in patients with hypertension (83.3%) and its prevalence increased by age. Dyslipidemia was found to be the risk factor for hypertension (β=0.359, p=0.014). This association was significantly stronger in women than in men. Increased components of dyslipidemia were associated with increased risk of hypertension (β=0.174, p=0.0001). Among components of dyslipidemia (elevated total cholesterol, increased triglyceride, raised LDL-C and decreased HDL-C), decreased HDL-C had the strongest association with hypertension (β=0.378,p=0.001), taken into account the adjustment of age, gender, residence and body mass index. The above patterns should be considered in prospective studies to confirm the hypothesis that decreased HDL-C is the most important risk factor among dyslipidemia components in the pathogenesis of hypertension and therapy target.
