Dinh dưỡng đã được khẳng định có vai trò quan trọng trong điều trị bệnh. Đặc biệt, những trường hợp suy dinh dưỡng trung bình và nặng cần có sự can thiệp dinh dưỡng chặt chẽ để cải thiện dự hậu bệnh nhân. Để góp phần xác định vai trò của công tác dinh dưỡng trong bệnh viện, chúng tôi tiến hành nghiên cứu đánh giá đáp ứng của can thiệp dinh dưỡng trên bệnh nhân suy dinh dưỡng mức độ trung bình và nặng được mời hội chẩn dinh dưỡng ở bệnh viện Nguyễn Tri Phương. Tại thời điểm hội chẩn và chưa can thiệp dinh dưỡng, các bệnh nhân trong nghiên cứu có BMI 18,4±3,3; phù chiếm 53% bệnh nhân; SGA 3,5±1,6 điểm, trong đó SGA-B chiếm 53%, SGA-C 47%; albumin máu 23,4±5,5g/l, pre-albumin máu 0,12±0,06g/l. Sau 2 tuần can thiệp dinh dưỡng, phù cải thiện trong 65% trường hợp, SGA tăng số điểm có ý nghĩa thống kê (4,4±1,6 điểm, p<0,001), albumin tăng đạt 27,7±6,2g/l (p<0,001), pre-albumin tăng đạt 0,16±0,07g/l (p<0,001). Như vậy, nghiên cứu này cho thấy can thiệp dinh dưỡng đã giúp cải thiện tình trạng dinh dưỡng của bệnh nhân về mặt lâm sàng và các chỉ số sinh hoá, góp phần trong điều trị bệnh nền.

Nutrition has been shown to play significant roles in treatment. In particular, patients with moderate or severe malnutrition need strict nutrition therapy to improve outcomes. In order to assert the roles of nutritional work in hospital, we studied the effects of nutrition therapy on moderately and severely malnourished patients who had received nutritional consultation at Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital. At the time of nutritional consultation and before application of nutrition support, the study group’s BMI was 18.4±3.3; 53% of them had edema; SGA was 3.5±1.6 points, in which SGA-B was 53% and SGA-C was 47%; serum albumin was 23.4±5.5 g/l, and serum pre-albumin was 0.12±0.06 g/l. After two weeks of nutritional support, edema was improved in 65% of the cases, SGA scores increased significantly (4.4±1.6 points, p<0.001), serum albumin increased at 27.7±6.2 g/l (p<0.001), pre-albumin increased at 0.16±0.07 g/l (p<0.001). All in all, these results show that nutritional support takes part in the improvement of the nutritional status both clinically and biochemically, which backs the treatment of baseline diseases.
