Nghiên cứu can thiệp cộng đồng, đánh giá trước và sau can thiệp vớ i mục tiêu đánh giá hiệu quả củ a sữ a tươi bổ sung vi chấ t đối với sự cải thiện tình trạng dinh dưỡng của học sinh mẫu giáo tại huyện Nghĩa Đàn tỉnh Nghệ An. Có 921 trẻ mẫu giáo thuộc 5 xã đã uống sữa tươi bổ sung vi chất 180 ml ngày (bổ sung thêm 218 UI vitamin A, 117 UI vitamin D, 54,4mg Axit folic, 2,88 mg sắt, 230 mg canxi, và 2,16 mg kẽm), 5 ngày/tuần trong 5 tháng. Các chỉ số Zscore và các tỷ lệ suy dinh dưỡng đã được tính toán và so sánh ở thời điểm sau can thiệp so với trước can thiệp, sử dụng chuẩn tăng trưởng của Tổ chức Y tế thế giới (WHO 2006). Kết quả cho thấy có sự cải thiện có ý nghĩ a thố ng kê các chỉ số Z-score cân nặng/tuổi (tăng 0,04; p=0,002), Z-score BMI/tuổi (tăng 0,05; p=0,021) và Z-score cân nặng/chiều cao (tăng 0,07; p<0,001), và làm giảm có ý nghĩa tỷ lệ suy dinh dưỡng thể nhẹ cân (giảm 2,8%) và có xu hướng giảm tỷ lệ suy dinh dưỡng thể thấp còi và gầy còm.

A community - based intervention study with pre - and post - assessments aimed to identify the effect of micronutrient fortified fresh milk on the nutritional status of kindergarten children in Nghia Dan District, Nghe An Province. Total 921 kindergarten children of 5 communes were taken micronutrient fortified fresh milk 180 ml daily (contains 218 IU of vitamin A, 117 IU of vitamin D, 54.4 mg folic acid, 2.88 mg Iron, 230 mg calcium, and 2,16 mg Zinc) with 5 day/week for 5 months. The indicators of Z-score and nutritional status were measured at before and after intervention, based on WHO 2006 standard. The results of study showed the significant improvement of Z-score weight to age (increased by 0.04, p=0.002), Z-score BMI to age (increased by 0.05, p=0.021) and Z-score weight to height (increased by 0.07, p<0.001), and a decreasing in underweight by 2.8%. It has a tendency to reduce stunting and wasting.
