Nghiên cứu mô tả cắt ngang được thực hiện nhằm xác định tỷ lệ thừa cân, béo phì và một số yếu tố nhân khẩu học liên quan của học sinh lớp 5, 9 và 12 tuổi tại thành phố Hà Nội năm 2017. Với phương pháp chọn mẫu cụm, nhiều giai đoạn, 7035 học sinh từ từ 90 trường trung học cơ sở và trung học phổ thông trên địa bàn thành phố Hà Nội được lựa chọn vào nghiên cứu. Học sinh tham gia được cân nặng, đo chiều cao và thực hiện bộ câu hỏi tự điền. Kết quả cho thấy tỷ lệ thừa cân, béo phì ở học sinh lớp 5, 9 và 12 ở Hà Nội là 18,26%, trong đó tỷ lệ thừa cân là 12,9%, và béo phì là 5,7%. Tỷ lệ thừa cân, béo phì cao nhất ở nhóm học sinh lớp 5 và thấp nhất ở nhóm lớp 12. Tỷ lệ này ở học sinh nam cao hơn so với học sinh nữ và ở khu vực nội thành cao hơn so với ngoại thành. Các yếu tố nhân khẩu học liên quan đến thừa cân/béo phì bao gồm: Khối lớp (lớp 9 so với 5, với OR = 0,7; lớp 12 so với lớp 5 với OR = 0,36); giới tính (nam so với nữ với OR = 2,5); khu vực sinh sống (nội thành so với ngoại thành với OR = 3,32).

A cross-sectional study was conducted to identify the proportion of students in 5th, 9th and 12th grade who are suffering from overweight, obesity and some associated factors in Hanoi, 2017. Applying the cluster and multiple stages sampling, the study was implemented with 7053 school teenagers from 90 secondary and high schools in Hanoi. Teenagers were weighted, measured in height, and using selfadministrated questionnaires. The results show that the prevalence of overweight, obesity and in combination among students in 5th, 9th and 12th grade in Ha Noi was 18,26%, in which overweight was 12,9%, and obesity was 5,7%. The prevalence of overweight and obesity reached the highest point of students in 5th grade and hit the lowest point of students in 12th grade; The prevalence of overweight and Obesity was higher in boys and urban areas. Some demographic factors associated with overweight/obesity include: Grades between ( 5th and 9th with OR= , 0,7; 5th and 12th with OR = 0,36); gender (girls vs. boys, OR = 2,5); gender (girlsvs boys, OR = 2,5); residential area (urban vs. suburban, OR = 3,32).
