Dựa vào các bằng chứng thuyết phục về vai trò của chế độ ăn, lối sống trong dự phòng đái tháo đường typ II, người ta khuyến nghị cần duy trì cân nặng ở giới hạn thấp của BMI bình thường (21-23), hoạt động thể lực đều đặn, không béo bụng, duy trì chể độ ăn có lượng acid béo bão hòa thấp (dưới 7% tổng số năng lượng). Điều trị bệnh đái tháo đường cần phải bắt đầu bằng một chế độ ăn hợp lý, mặc dù chế độ ăn phụ thuộc theo loại bệnh và từng cá thể. Phù hợp với cá thể là nguyên tắc bản lề khi xây dựng chể độ ăn cho người đái tháo đường. Trên cơ sở nguyên tắc chung mỗi bệnh nhân cần có chế độ ăn cho riêng mình với sự tư vấn của chuyên gia dinh dưỡng tiết chế.

Abstract:
Based on the evidence of the role of diet and lifestyle in the prevention of type II diabetes, it is recommended to maintain weight at the lower limit of normal BMI (21-23), active regular physical activities, belly fat, maintain a diet low in saturated fatty acid (less than 7% of total energy). Treatment of diabetes should begin with a reasonable diet, although diet and disease depends on the type of individual. Accordance with the principles of individual hinges when building diet for diabetes. On the basis of general principles every patient should have their own diet with the advice of dietitians moderation.
