Nghiên cứu thử nghiệm lâm sàng tự đối chứng được thực hiện nhằm đánh giá mức độ đáp ứng đường máu của bệnh nhân đái tháo đường týp 2 đối với các thực đơn sử dụng các loại gạo khác nhau (Thực đơn A: sử dụng 100% gạo trắng; Thực đơn B: sử dụng 100% gạo lật nảy mầm Biomedviet; Thực đơn C: sử dụng 50% gạo trắng và 50% gạo lật nảy mầm Biomedviet). Kết quả cho thấy sử dụng thực đơn B (100% gạo lật nảy mầm) và thực đơn C (50% gạo trắng và 50% gạo lật nảy mầm Biomedviet) có glucose máu và mức tăng đường máu sau ăn thấp hơn có ý nghĩa thống kê so với thực đơn A (100% gạo trắng) tại thời điểm sau ăn 30 phút, 60 phút và 90 phút. Tại thời điểm 120 phút sau ăn, glucose máu của thực đơn A cao hơn có ý nghĩa thống kê (p<0,001) so với thực đơn B và vẫn có xu hướng cao hơn (p=0,055) so với thực đơn C. Vùng dưới đường cong (AUC) của thực đơn B và thực đơn C thấp hơn có ý nghĩa thống kê so với thực đơn A. Nghiên cứu cho thấy thay thế 50% hoặc 100 % gạo trắng bằng gạo lật nảy mầm Biometviet ở bệnh nhân bị đái tháo đường týp 2 có tác dụng làm giảm mức độ tăng đường máu sau ăn và sử dụng gạo lật nảy mầm nhiều hơn có tác dụng hạn chế tăng đường máu sau ăn tốt hơn.

Clinical trial study on patients with type 2 diabetes to investigate the postprandial blood glucose response to white rice and pre-germinated brown rice with the test menu using different kinds of rice (Test menu A: 100% white rice; Test menu B: 100% pre-germinated brown rice Biomedviet; Test menu C: 50% of white rice and 50% pre-germinated brown rice Biomedviet). The results showed that, the menu B (100% pre-germinated brown rice Biomedviet) and menu C (50% of white rice and 50% pre-germinated brown rice Biomedviet) had significantly lower level of postprandial blood glucose and blood glucose increase compared with a menu A (100% white rice) at the time after eating 30 minutes, 60 minutes, and 90 minutes. At the time of 120 minutes, blood glucose of group used menu A was statistically significant higher (p <0.001) compared to that obtained from group used menus B and have tendency to be higher (p = 0.055) compared to those used menu C. The incremental areas under curve (AUC) of the menu B and menu C was significantly lower than AUC of the menu A. In conclusion, replacing 50% or 100% white rice with pre-germinated brown rice Biometviet had reduced postprandial blood glucose response in patients with type 2 diabetes, the more percentage of replacing by pre-germinated brown rice the more limited postprandial blood glucose response.
