In this review article, the trends in the nutritional status of Ho Chi Minh population and framework of nutrition strategies. The available data show that the overall nutritional status of Ho Chi Minh population has been improved.
The study aimed to determine malnutrition rate among Khmer children and some related factors. Methods: The study was designed as a cross-sectional study with 188 children and their mothers/caregivers.
The study was conducted in 6 communes of two districts in Thanh Hoa province: Thach Thanh and Quang Xuong. The results showed that malnutrition prevalence of children under 5 in Thanh Hoa was still high (according to WHO classification): the prevalence of underweight, stunting and wasting was: 16.2%, 23% and 4.6%.

The objective of this study was to research the acceptability and preference of fortified biscuits in primary school children. The study was a community intervention in 17 weeks (85 days). Children (n= 184) from two primary schools in Gia Binh district – Bac Ninh province were recruited. They were divided into 2 groups. Control group: had biscuits fortified with calcium. Intervention group: had biscuits fortified with calcium and vitamin D2. Each child had 25 g of biscuits per day.
A cross-sectional study of 330 mothers, who have children under 3 months in Yen Dung district, Bac Giang province was conducted to describe their knowledge and attitude on HepB vaccination birth dose. Results showed that the proportion of mothers with proper knowledge on HepB vaccination was low (44.5%).
Overweight and obesity is a health concern in both developed and developing countries with double increase in rate compared to the 1980’s decade of the last century. Obesity is considered as the fifth leading cause of global deaths. Decreased physical activity and increased sedentary activity are major risks of overweight and obesity.
The study was conducted in Tien Hai District Hospital. Objective: To assess nutritional status and biochemical indicators of nutrition of patients over 18 years old hospitalized since 2014. Research Methodology: using descriptive epidemiology method by a cross-sectional survey of patients being treated at the general hospital of Tien Hai District.
