A cross-sectional study has been conducted in 210 pregnant women at 5 communes of Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province to determine the prevalence of vitamin D deficiency. Serum 25(OH) D was measured by HPLC method. Results: The prevalence of vitamin D deficiency 25(OH) D <50 nmol/L was 22.4%, among them: 21% had mild vitamin D deficiency and 1.4% had moderate vitamin D deficiency.
