A cross sectional study was carried out with WHO standard of malnutrition measure to describe nutrition situation of children under 5 year of age in the coastal area of Nghe An from June to August 2011. All children 12 to 47 months of age at 02 communes, Luc Ngan, Bac Giang Province were measured for weight and height. Serum samples from stunting children (n=220) were collected to examine the concentrations of hemoglobin, zinc, ferritin, IgA and IGF-1.
