Objective: To develop a method to detect curcumin concentration in health supplement by high performance liquid chromatography with a photodiode array detector. Method: Curcurmin was extracted by sonication in methanol for 30 min and separated by a reversed phase C18 column using a mobile phase including buffer, methanol and acetonitrile.
Aims: To describe the nutritional status of hypertensive outpatients. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 350 hypertensive outpatients treated at Sam Son City General Hospital, Thanh Hoa province. Results: The average BMI was 23.6±2.8 (kg/m2) in men and 23.9±3.1 (kg/m2) in women.
Aims: To describe actual food intake of women aged 40-65 years with BMI ≥ 23 kg/m2 in Hanoi, 2016. Methods: A cross sectional study was conducted on women aged 40-65 years with BMI ≥ 23 kg/m2 in Hanoi, 2016. Results: The average age was approximately 52 years old with BMI= 25.6±3.8 kg/m2. The dietary energy level of the study subjects was 1628 (1589,2; 1705,5) kcal /person/day.

Methods: The nutritional status was classified based on height-for-age Z-score and body mass index-for-age Z-score as compared to the growth standard of the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2007.

The study aims to describe the situation of food safety and related factors of food service providers in Hagiang city, Hagiang province. A cross- sectional study was conducted on 120 food producers and sellers at 120 food services facilities.
Objectives: A case – control study was conducted in 126 pre-diabetic patients and 126 healthy adults in order to define some risk factors of pre-diabetes. Method: Anthropometric indices (weight, height) and levels of glucose of fasting blood samples were measured.
