Using research descriptive method on 309 (180 males, 219 females) patients who visited hospital 19-8 to assess nutritional status through BMI, the study showed that the rate of malnutrition among the patients in our study was 8.1% of which CED grade 1 was 1%, CED grade 2 was 1.3%, CED grade 3 was 5.8% and overweight/obesity was 5.9%.

A cross-sectional study was to describe nutritional status of 97 patients with type II diabetes mellitus being hospitalized at the endocrinology-respiratory unit, Hanoi medical university hospital in 2020. Results showed that average body mass index (BMI) was 22.8±2.8; of which the subjects with BMI within the normal range was accounted for the highest rate of 72.2%, followed by overweight of 22.7%.
