The cross-sectional survey was conducted in 1163 children from 6 to 59 months old to identify anthropometric indices in 4 mountainous communes of Bac Ha district, Lao Cai province in 2013. The results showed that the underweight, stunting and wasting prevalence was 35.9%; 57.1% and 10.6%, respectively.

Survey in 39 hospitalized patients with stroke showed that the rate of malnutrition was quite high (38.46%). It was closely associated with complication rates, especially complications of respiratory infections (p<0.05). The study aimed to evaluate malnutrition status of COPD in-patients in Nguyen Tri Phuong hospital. Method: Cross-sectional study. Findings: We had 127 patients with males being predominant (86.61%) and the mean age of 63.03 ± 8.86. Most of the patients were COPD grade III (42.52%) and grade IV (29.13%). Almost patients had smoking history (85.04%).
